I’m not gonna lie: being a blogger and a journalist has its perks. When I was invited to come over to the Madrid Fashion Week, the International Press office arranged a room for me in a beautiful, new hotel. As soon as I found out that I was gonna have an amazing room, I set my mind to it: I NEED pictures here! And there was a bigger plus: me and Daniel Perez-Cuadrado (better known as Dani Paperboat) could finally shoot together! Let’s look at the results:
Bedroom goals! Lingerie set from Lola + Lou Lingerie
Just to give you an idea of how the shoot went: I just arrived to the hotel from a very long (delayed) morning flight, and we had 2 hours before I had to go to the opening of the Fashion Week. We took 30 mintues to scout locations and fix my make-up (as far as my face was fixable lol) and then we got started! The first stop was the bedroom, showing the cozy bed and window-corner with pretty views.
Channeling my nerdy side. Sweater from Modemusthaves
2nd stop: the reception. It was an absolute pleasure to shoot here because the room existed mainly out of huge windows, which gave a beautiful lighting. Here I am wearing one of my favorite Fashion Week outfits, which I in fact didn’t show in my post about ‘outifts in Madrid’. The reason: I wore this outfit to the opening of Madrid Fashion Week, which was in the evening, and all the pictures were terrible. The coat I’m wearing is from the Dutch courturier Addy van den Krommenacker, isn’t it the best thing ever? <3
Last stop: the spa! Something we didn’t wanna miss of course ;)
For those who want to know which magical hotel I’ve been staying at: it’s the Barceló Torre Madrid Hotel.
After the spa I quickly had to get ready for the opening show and managed to shower, do my make-up and change my outfit in just 20 minutes (!!) Pretty sure I deserve an award for that hehe.
Do you like the pictures? If you have any other tips for me about beautiful hotels please let me know! Always looking for new shoot locations :)
Lots of Love,
