Happy Valentine’s day guys! Guess what? I’m sharing a special story today! Me and Alex have been together for more than 6 years and we get this question all the time: how did we meet? Little spoiler alert: we met while I was still in high school, can you believe it?! It’s a fun story that I enjoy telling everytime, I hope you enjoy hearing it!
2017 was an intense year, as soon as I started working for Sanoma it was a rollercoaster! During the day I was constantly at the office, learning, growing, working for the company. During the evenings (and nights) I was working for myself, following my dreams. As you can imagine, I didn’t have much of a social life going on, besides the events I was attending as a blogger at least. I definitely don’t regret anything, because I learned so much! However, after getting close to a second burnout not that long ago, I think it’s important to also set some personal resolutions for myself in 2018. Keep reading!
Looking back at 2017 I realized that I’ve grown a lot in the past year. I’ve had more life experiences and professional experiences that make me calculate my choices a bit extra instead of diving in head first. These are the 5 goals I want to focus on in 2018!
How did the time fly so fast? 2017 was like a whirlwind to me. The year began strong with traveling to amazing places such as LA and with the start of June I faced an intense new challenge with a job at Sanoma and I was struggling to keep everything together. I don’t believe I’ve ever learned so much things in one single year though, so it was totally worth it! It’s funny to read back old blogs and to see what I was thinking back then. Today I would like to go through an old blog where I talk about my goals for 2017, did I achieve them? Let’s find out!
You can see a journal as a window to your soul. A place where you can write down your thoughts, desires and goals without anyone judging. For me journaling is a way to stay positive, be grateful and to remind myself what really matters to me. Just focus more on yourself and a little less about everyone else around you. Once you start writing, drawing and gluing things it can become a habit – maybe even addictive!
I just wanted to say that I’m so proud to see all the amazing reactions and support that I’ve been getting! Last month I posted a picture on Instagram where I was talking about sexual abuse and it’s great to see how women are stepping up and sharing their stories! Did anyone else see the #Metoo or the #IkOok campaign on social media? Isn’t it devastating to see that so many women have experience(s) with sexual violence?
VIRGOS UNITE! I know I know, it’s already the month of the Libras (also a great sign btw). I just wanted to tell you guys about how I celebrated my birthday last week, I can’t even express how amazing it was! I celebrated it together with Mailili because we have the exact same birthday…. as you can imagine, it was definitely a case of ‘double trouble’ ;)
A few people think it’s a wise decision, but most of them are usually surprised when I tell them I’m going to quit modeling and start studying . ‘That’s so bad’. ‘Why would you do that, you’re still young enough!’. ‘Your career went really well, why would you quit?’ Why, Why, Why …. So many questions and everyone has something to say about it. After 2,5 years as a full-time model I decided to go back to school and in this blog I’ll tell you why.
