Some of you might have already heard about Fashionchick: it’s a really great platform in The Netherlands which is all about the latest trends, fashion, beauty and more! They have a squad of awesome bloggers and guess what? I’m the newest addition! I’ve been a fan of Fashionchick for a long time already, so this feels like such an honor for me. Hard work really pays off, doesn’t it? :)
From the catwalks to the streets. Models are always on the run so we have to be quick in choosing the right clothing. We never know when street photographers are going to capture you, so we always have to look good. Of course because of our work, we pick up several style tips along the way. In this post I will tell you how to create a model off duty look.
The 5 Streetstyle outfits that worked best during fashion season
March 15, 2017Fashion season is over! As you might remember, some months ago I shared a blog on how to prepare best for fashion weeks, so I decided to follow my own advice. You know, just to see what happens. After Amsterdam, Madrid and Lisbon fashion week, I listed the 5 outfits that worked best for the streetstyle photographers, let’s check them out!
Two weeks ago I got some last-minute – yet exciting – news: I was invited to fly over to Spain for Madrid Fashion Week! The last time it was an amazing experience, so of course I said yes. I was a bit stressed about my outfits though, because I just used some of my favorites for Amsterdam Fashion Week, what to do?!
It was sooo good to be back in Amsterdam again for fashion week: seeing all the amazing people I usually don’t see because I live far away AND getting lots of new fashion inspiration. What’s not to love? This time the fashion week was shorter than usual, but I still had lots of fun, let’s take a look at my outfits. Shall we?
Tour Compilation: My Favorite Pics & Publications
November 28, 2016Wow! After almost 2 months of touring around Europe, I finally have time to take a breath and look back at everything that I’ve been doing. I have to say… it’s crazier than I realized. To sum everything up I made a small selection of the stuff that I’ve been doing, a compilation so to say. Let’s check it out!
The newest fashion, croissants, celebs and more. Last week it was time for Paris Fashion Week, and I was there! I was running around non-stop, so I decided to make a small diary for you guys to give you an idea about what fashion week looks like. Sitting front row at the coolest designers, meeting Karlie Kloss, and of course posing for the streetstyle photographers in between shows. I’m spilling it all.
Not that long ago I was in Rotterdam for Salonè della Moda, and I loved one of my outfits so much that I shot a short fashion video with Lucas Bakx for it! I know I know… not necessarily an outfit you could wear on a daily basis, but doesn’t that make it much more fun and special to wear?!
What I like about fashion is that you can get creative and make it fun with different combinations of styles, colors, materials and more! I guess my slogan came into existence for a reason:
“A Creative Mind Equals an Endless Wardrobe”
Shop the look:
Denim Jacket: Vintage
Bralette: Shop Tobi
Skirt: Matilde Cano
Sunglasses: Linda Farrow – Passage BCN
Sneakers: Pull & Bear
I dare you to tell me it’s not true! #bloggerlife
1. Begging your boyfriend to take a picture of your outfit #instagramhusband
2. Your non-blogger friends go crazy with the amount of pictures you want to make of your coffee/lunch/dinner while you are hanging out.
3. Taking so long to make pictures of your food/drinks that it’s already cold when you are ready to dive in #thestruggleisreal
4. Stressing about your outfit for hours to create a ‘casual look’
5. Not wanting to post a picture of that outfit because the colors don’t match your Instagram feed
6. Glamorous life? Spending most of your time answering mails and messages I would say!
7. Being in love with an outfit, but not being able to wear it to another event because you already posted a picture of it last week.
8. Walking around the city is a complete new experience: you see photoshoot spots everywhere!
9. Regretting the fact that you can’t multiply yourself #FOMO #events #noughsaid
10. We start thinking in #hasthags #instagramaddict #truestory

Brrrrr, it’s so cold outside! Thank god for this autumns layered trend which allows us to stay warm during the autumn & winter months. What is the layered trend you ask? It’s a mix of materials, it’s (often) oversized, it’s comfy, it’s warm, it’s creative! The cool part about this trend is the fact that even if you think that it might be too much, it could totally still work if you do it right. Here are a couple of examples from the previous fashion week streetstyles:
These ladies sure know how to look beautiful with all those layers! As you can see: any material, color, print, length, shape or accessory is possible! Popular for this look are tulle skirts, wide legged trousers or A-line dresses in combination with oversized sweaters. This trend is ideal for experimenting and finding out which materials or prints look good on you, and you will stay warm and comfy in the meanwhile!
The other day I went shopping in Mango and put together this simple yet stylish outfit, as you can see the wide legged trousers with the oversized sweater are an important part of my look! Under the sweater I am wearing a white blouse in order to create that layered effect which makes the look more interesting. To give the outfit a personal touch I am wearing my currently favorite black fedora hat with girly braids.
Regarding the print, I went for large chalkstripes in the trousers, something I had never tried before until now! I thought it was a cliché, but it looks so classy and it makes your legs look longer, definitely a print that’s going to stay in my closet! Furthermore I adore the cute laced detail on the back of my supersoft sweater! The heels give the outfit a more feminine feeling. Since you can see no shapes of the body at all, this is a great way to keep your look ladylike.
What do you think about the layered trend? Will you give it a try or are you going to skip it? Let me know in the comments down below!
